I have spent over 60 years exploring my family history.  The one overwhelming discovery is how difficult it is to find information.  What I learned is that data is often fragmented, inaccurate and incomplete.  I realized that if discovering my family story was difficult for me, what would it be like for my children, grandchildren and their heirs.  As time passes, more stories are lost and details of our lineage fade.  Also, as much as the internet helps, it can be overwhelming, confusing and perpetuate inaccurate information.  So, I have recorded my research here for all to see with easy access.

My lineage is connected to four families:  McCready, Lawson, Brown and Langelier.  Each family history is presented in a separate book in the bookcase.   The McCready Family is covered in three books:  McCready Family Name and Lineage;  Robert McCready - A Pioneer Story; and the original Robert McCready Family book published in 1931 by Dr. Robert J. McCready.   Additional booklets present my DNA results, a study on Irish DNA, and a manual on How to Use the Bookcase.  The history of the Langelier family is that of my wife Paul Langelier McCready and is presented in both English and French editions.​​
